<p>This is a process for the treatment with liquid ammonia or with liquid ammonia solutions of woven fabrics, non-woven fabrics, knitted fabrics, yarns, slivers or tow based on cellulosic, animal, artificial or synthetic fibres, or relatively mixed ones. This process is characterised in that the products in question are impregnated with liquid ammonia or with a liquid ammonia solution in an adjustable percentage of between 0.1% and 200% by weight of the products concerned, in order for them to react with said chemical substances. The said textiles (3) are mechanically wound around the outside of a drum (2), either alone or in conjunction with a blanket, so as to prevent unwanted modifications of their dimensions.</p> |
