<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a color image forming apparatus in which the start timing of image formation can be measured simply, and the adjustment of a paper spacing and image spacing can be performed simply, an image forming program, and a recording medium. <P>SOLUTION: The value of the paper spacing PS is calculated on a paper conveyance side and the creation of the image spacing IS is requested for an image creation controller based on the value of the calculated image spacing IS or the value of the image spacing IS necessary for the image formation control is selected and the image spacing IS of the selected value is created and when the signal output from a write unit is asserted, the information indicating the time required for movement is reported to the controller. The time before resist is restarted is calculated based on the information indicating the time required for the movement on a paper conveyance controller side to count the time before the calculated resist is restarted.
