<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a braking sound of a brake without requiring complicated control while easily adjusting a stroke of the brake and determining adequateness without using an exclusive device, and detecting a brake state and operation in a noncontact state. <P>SOLUTION: This electromagnetic brake device has an armature 13 connected with a brake shoe 12 oppositely arranged on the braking surface 3 of a rotary body 2, an electromagnetic field 15 separating the brake shoe 12 from the braking surface by sucking the armature 13 when exciting an electromagnetic coil 14, an elastic member 16 pressing the brake shoe 12 to the braking surface 3 when the electromagnetic coil 14 is not excited, a permanent magnet 32 arranged in the electromagnetic field 15 and forming a first magnetic path between the permanent magnet and the armature 13, and a detecting part 22 having a magnetic sensor 31 detecting the magnetic flux density of a second magnetic path generated at the opposite side of the armature 13 from the permanent magnet 32. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT</p> |
