PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a multi-directional input device in which click feeling can be obtained while securing operation safety of an operation body. SOLUTION: In the multi-directional input deice, opposing faces are arranged and installed opposite to an operation member 51 in a case 21. The opposing faces are composed of a click member 41 formed as a parallel face becoming parallel with an XY flat face in an XY coordinate system and a sliding member 52 sliding on the parallel face of the click member 41 in conjunction with the operation member 51. Then, numerous engaging recesses 41a are formed on the flat face of the click member 41. Moreover, at the sliding member 52, an engaging member 56 capable of engaging with the engaging recesses 41a and of displacing in an amplitude direction to a slidingly contact face which is a side face of the click member 41 side of the sliding member 52, and a coil spring 55 which always biases the engaging member 56 into a direction protruding to a sliding contact face of the sliding member 52 are installed.
