PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming method giving an image having good fixability and capable of retaining high quality even under high mechanical stress resulting from a mail sealer, a burster, a folding machine, a booklet finisher, a staple finisher or the like in a print processing step (post-processing step) after a fixing step, with respect to an image forming method in which an image is fixed by a contact fixing system. SOLUTION: The image forming method includes a step of fixing a toner image by a contact fixing system, wherein the toner is an electrophotographic toner obtained by externally adding a fluororesin fine powder to toner base particles containing a crystalline polyester and an amorphous polyester as a binder resin, in an amount of≥0.2 part by mass based on 100 parts by mass of the toner base particles.
