<p>A navigation system suitable as an on-vehicle car navigation system, for example, in which a user can set a display mode for every operational state of the navigation system. The display modes set by the user in association with various operational states are stored as display mode set information. On the other hand, when the navigation system is operated, e.g. when a vehicle is traveling, the operational state of the navigation system is detected. With reference to the display mode set information, information is displayed in the display mode set for that operational state.</p> |
