<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reversible type pop-up hood apparatus which can smoothly perform the pushing-up motion and the pulling-back motion. <P>SOLUTION: The pop-up hood apparatus according to one embodiment of the present invention comprises an actuator; and a hinge mechanism having an energy absorbing arm connected to the actuator, a hood lifting arm which is connected to the energy absorbing arm, and is turnably fixed to an arm fixing bracket via a first hinge portion at one end thereof, and is turnably and slidably fixed to a groove formed on a hood fixing bracket via a second hinge portion at the other end thereof, a guide member provided on the arm fixing bracket, and a guided member provided on the hood fixing bracket. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
