<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of manufacturing a color conversion light emitting device which can prevent the deposition of elements by ion migration when attaching a phosphor layer by electrophoretic migration. <P>SOLUTION: A light emitting device 1 and a positive electrode 22 are located in a solution wherein phosphor particles are dispersed. On the positive electrode 22 side of the light emitting device 1, an auxiliary negative electrode 23 is arranged opposite to the light emitting device 1. DC current is applied between one electrode 4 of the light emitting device 1 and the positive electrode 22 in such a manner that the potential of the electrode 4 may be lower than that of the positive electrode 22 to make the phosphor particles in the solution 21 move and attach to a semiconductor light emitting element. At that time, by keeping the potential of the auxiliary negative electrode 23 lower than that of the surface of the semiconductor light emitting element 2, positive ions eluted from a metal region 5 of the light emitting device 1 are attracted to the auxiliary negative electrode 23. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
