PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of providing an image of higher picture quality by reducing effect of shading variation due to variation in environmental temperature. SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus has: a photoelectric converting means (1) for generating a signal through photoelectric conversion; an output line (13) to which the signal generated by the photoelectric converting means is output; an output means (16) for outputting an output signal in accordance with the signal of the output line; a dummy pattern generating means (20) for outputting a dummy pattern signal to the output line; and a correcting means for correcting the output signal of the output means output when the signal generated by a photoelectric converting means is output to the output line according to the output signal of the output means when the dummy pattern signal is output to the output line.
