PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized and lightweight receiver capable of obtaining accurate time information with saved power consumption.
SOLUTION: In a radio clock 1, time information is modulated, and the receiving signal involving time signal, transmitted with the frequency of one side or the other side is inputted. The receiving signal and a first local oscillating signal having a predetermined first local oscillating frequency, are mixed, and then the time signal of the one side frequency is converted into a first intermediate frequency signal of the other side, or the time signal of the frequency of the other side is converted to the intermediate frequency signal of the other side, so that a second local oscillating signal, which is a difference or a total of the frequency of these two first intermediate frequency signals, is generated. By mixing the first intermediate frequency signal of the other side with the second local oscillating signal, the first intermediate frequency signal of the other side is converted into the second intermediate frequency signal. Of the two intermediate frequency signals thus obtained, using mainly the first intermediate frequency signal corresponding to the frequency of the one side, the first intermediate frequency signal is demodulated to extract and output the time information.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
