PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for stably manufacturing a color filter having a flat and uniform color layer without causing color mixing, white void or unevenness in each pixel by improving the quality of partitions containing an ink-repelling agent in a color filter where each pixel is printed by an ink-jet system. SOLUTION: After applying a photosensitive resin composition containing an ink-repelling agent for constituting the partitions on a substrate, in a drying step, the applied composition is dried by a reduced-pressure drying step having at least two stages. In the reduced-pressure drying step, the achievable pressure in a first stage is set to be within a range of 5,000-50,000 Pa, and the achievable pressure in a second stage is set to be not higher than 500 Pa. Further, a solvent having a boiling point of 100-130°C is incorporated into a solvent, contained in the photosensitive resin composition, in a content of 10-70%, and the partitions are thermally cured at a temperature of≤180°C.
