PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information recording/reproducing apparatus which can reproduce yet to be viewed drama series, by only depressing a reproduction key, without making a reproduction list screen displayed on a display device, when a user views regular programs, such as running drama series on a weekend. SOLUTION: When depressing of the reproduction key is detected, it is determined whether there are regular recording titles; if reproduction is not performed, it is determined that the resume is not on. If it is determined that there are regular recording titles, it is determined whether there are unviewed regular recording titles, based on viewing flag. If it is determined that there is no yet to be viewed regular recording title, the latest title is selected based on title management information. If it is determined that there are some yet to be viewed regular recording titles, the oldest unviewed regular recording title is selected from the unviewed regular recording titles based on the title management information, and then reproduction is started.
