PRESSURE SENSITIVE ADHESIVE COMPOSITION FOR DISPLAY

Disclosed is a pressure sensitive adhesive composition used for optical filters of display panels, which is characterized by containing a (meth)acrylic acid ester copolymer (A) having a crosslinkable functional group in a molecule, a crosslinking agent (B) and a near-infrared absorbing agent (C) composed of a composite tungsten oxide. This pressure sensitive adhesive composition is further characterized by having a storage modulus (G') at 80°C of from 1 x 10<SUP>4</SUP> to 1 x 10<SUP>6</SUP> Pa and a glass transition temperature (Tg) of not less than -30°C after crosslinking. This pressure sensitive adhesive composition for displays has good optical characteristics, while being excellent in durability and weather resistance. Consequently, this pressure sensitive adhesive composition enables to obtain a low-cost optical filter by simplifying a layered structure of an optical filter for plasma display panels or liquid crystal display panels wherein various functional films are laminated.
