<p>A gas generator comprising a combustion chamber (C) containing a pyrotechnic charge (3); and a plenum chamber (T) for receiving the gas generated by the combustion of the charge for the purpose of exhausting it to the outside; a transfer chamber (R) into which the combustion gas is transferred and stored prior to being exhausted to the outside via the plenum chamber (T), a duct (5) connecting the combustion chamber (C) to the transfer chamber (R); and in that the duct (5) comprises a stationary segment (50) and a movable segment (51), these segments (50,51) being suitable for occupying a first extreme position in which said duct (5) completely isolates said plenum chamber (T) from the combustion and transfer chambers (C, R), and a second extreme position in which said duct (5), by a movement of the movable segment, opens a passage (P) for gas from said transfer chamber (R) to said plenum chamber (T).</p> |
