1460076 Mixing apparatus R GUBIAN 14 Jan 1974 [12 Jan 1973] 01769/74 Heading B1C A machine for forming and discharging a paste from a pulverluent material and water comprises an elongate hopper 3 having a feed screw 5 for feeding dry pulverulent material to a mixing column 16 coupled to one end of the hopper, the mixing column comprising in descending order an inlet chamber 17 a mixing chamber 20 and a pump 22, a drive motor 15 at the top of the column being adapted to drive feed means 19 in the inlet chamber mixing means 26 in the mixing chamber and the pump 22, and also to drive the feed screw 5 through a pair of gears 13, 14, the column being either pivotally or slidably coupled to the hopper, pivotal or sliding movement of the column disengaging the gears so that drive to the feed screw is interrupted and at the same time communication between the hopper outlet and inlet -chamber is broken. The mixing chamber has a water inlet 21. Discharge of the mixed paste is by means of a nozzle 23 supplied with compressed air so as to project the paste. |
