PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide technology capable of performing more effective processing during one side reading even while having a configuration to read both sides of an original. SOLUTION: Images of a front side and a rear side of the original are read and image data are output. This image processor is provided with a first scanner image processing unit 115 for processing the read image data, and a second scanner image processing unit 116 for processing the read image data. When a front side reading mode is selected between the front side reading mode for reading an image of only the front side of an original and a both sides reading mode for reading images of the front and rear sides of the original, both the first scanner image processing unit 115 and the second scanner image processing unit 116 are used to perform control so as to perform image processing.
