An apparatus for chopping food is provided to chop food with proper size by forming a press member and a chopping member for pressing food inside a placing space and rotating a chopping member. An apparatus for chopping food comprises a case(10) vertically opened to have a placing space of food, a press member(20), and a chopping member(40). The press member vertically moves through the opened upper part of the case. The chopping member rotated at the opened lower part of the case has at least one discharging holes. The food in the placing space is pressed by the press member and chopped by rotating the chopping member. The surface of the press member and the chopping member has a chopping projection. The inside of the case and a lower part(22) of the press member are engaged to the horizontal rotation direction.
