摘要 A method for producing a membrane-electrode assembly for a fuel cell is provided to obtain a membrane-electrode assembly having a large catalytically reactive area per unit area and showing excellent catalytic efficiency even in a low loading amount of catalyst. A method for producing a membrane-electrode assembly for a fuel cell comprises the steps of: applying a composition for forming a catalyst layer onto one surface of a transfer substrate(50,50') to form a catalyst layer(30,30'); placing the transfer substrate having the catalyst layer on a polymer electrolyte membrane(10) in such a manner that the catalyst layer faces to the polymer electrolyte membrane; disposing a support plate(60,60') having surface irregularities on the remaining surface of the transfer substrate and carrying out hot rolling to transfer the catalyst layer to the polymer electrolyte membrane, and removing the transfer substrate and the support plate; and disposing an electrode substrate(40,40') on the catalyst layer transferred to the polymer electrolyte membrane, followed by lamination.
