A system and a method for providing a service for blocking a receiving call are provided to interrupt a call processing process when a receiving request is inputted from a receiving blocking target person, thereby blocking unnecessary resource allocation to the receiving blocking target person and using call resources efficiently. A method for providing a service for blocking a receiving call comprises the following steps of: allowing a subscriber of a mobile communication terminal to join a receiving call blocking service; allowing an HLR(Home Location Register) to check whether the mobile communication terminal joins the receiving call blocking service(S20); allowing the HLR to request a service control device to provide determination information about the receiving blocking target person of a calling terminal so as to check whether the calling terminal requesting the mobile communication terminal to receive a call is the receiving blocking target person(S30); allowing the service control device to determine the presence of the receiving blocking target person of the calling terminal in response to the determination information request signal inputted from the HLR; allowing the HLR to provide specific data and determination information to an exchanger on the basis of the determination information(S50); and allowing the exchanger to perform a call processing process according to the receiving request of the calling terminal on the basis of the information received from the HLR(S60). |
