A novel microorganism Pseudomonas nitroreducens Jin1 is provided to bio-convert isoeugenol and eugenol into natural vanillin and vanillic acid, thereby being used in order to produce the vanillin and the vanillic acid. A Pseudomonas nitroreducens Jin1 producing vanillin or vanillic acid is deposited as a deposition no. KCTC 11023BP. A method for producing the vanillin or the vanillic acid comprises a step of culturing the Pseudomonas nitroreducens Jin1 in a culture medium containing isoeugenol or eugenol.
