DATA STRUCTRUE, SYSTEM AND METHOD USING MAC HEADER FOR COMUNICATING HD DATA

A data structure of a MAC header for high definition communication is provided to transmit uncompressed high definition video information through a wireless channel by using a MAC header having a fixed size. A payload data packet is received from an application layer. A MAC header having a fixed length is formed to control first type of functions of a MAC layer. A MAC extension header having a variable length is formed to control second type of functions of the MAC layer. A PHY header is formed to synchronize an operation of the PHY layer. A first CRC segment is used for a cyclic redundancy checksum to check transmission of the MAC header and the PHY header. A second CRC segment is used for a cyclic redundancy checksum to check transmission of the MAC header extension. The MAC header includes a size indication of the MAC extension header. The size indication is used for facilitating a checking process of the second CRC segment.
