METHOD FOR TRANSMITTING RESOURCE ALLOCATION INFORMATION IN WIRELESS COMMUNICATION SYSTEM

A method for transmitting resource allocation information in a wireless communication system is provided to consume a less amount of resources as compared with a consecutive parallel notation by transmitting resource allocation information using a binary designation notation. A resource allocation information format based on a binary designation notation comprises a resource allocation bitmap field(201), a CID(Connection Identifier) field(203), and a resource number field(205). The resource allocation bitmap field indicates resource allocation or non-allocation information for each resource index in the form of a binary bitmap. The resource allocation bitmap field expresses already allocated channels and allocatable channels as 0 and 1. The CID field indicates the "i"th mobile station. The resource number field indicates the number of resources to be allocated to the "i"th mobile station.
