The machine (10) has a stator (14) with a magnetic ring (18) placed coaxial to a rotor (12) and delimits, with the rotor, an annular air gap (20). Windings (22) define successive turns and are constituted of copper conductors placed inside the air gap. Each turn has front ends (23), at ends of the stator, constituted of conductor reversing regions. The windings are extended on an interior surface of the air gap. The 50 percentages of length of the front ends are placed in the air gap and in an axial space of the ring that includes coolant circulation network (26). An independent claim is also included for a method for fabricating a rotating machine.
