The method involves obtaining a piece of tanned skin to be stretched and drained with fifty percent humidity. The skin is extended on a metal plate at room temperature and moving the assembly of the plate and the skin on a shelf of a cooling device. The cooling device is activated to freeze the water contained in the skin. The device is activated for vacuum sublimation of ice, and skin is hanged to obtain certain humidity for residual moisture.
