<p>A method and an apparatus for selecting an operating frequency in a UE(User Equipment) in a wireless communication system are provided to prevent MBMS(Multimedia Broadcast Multicast Service) reception from being stopped by judging the present operating frequency of a UE is an MBMS preferred frequency selected at an upper communication protocol, in case the radio resource control state of the UE is operated in a CELL-DCH(Dedicated Channel) state, so that the UE can continuously receive MBMS at the present operating frequency when the present operating frequency is the MBMS preferred frequency. In case the radio resource control state of a UE is operated in a CELL-DCH state, the CPU of the UE judges whether the present operating frequency of the UE is an MBMS preferred frequency which was preferentially selected at an upper communication protocol(302). If the present operating frequency of the UE is the MBMS preferred frequency, the CPU continuously uses the present operating frequency(304).</p> |
