An LCD(Liquid Crystal Display), a method of manufacturing the LCD and an electronic apparatus are provided to form an electrode connected to a photos-sensor element and an electrode connected to a switching element for controlling the operation of the photo-sensor element on the same layer so as to simplify a process of manufacturing an LCD having a photo-detecting region. An LCD(1) includes a plurality of pixel regions and a photo-detecting region. The LCD further includes a first switching element which is disposed in each of the pixel regions and switches driving of the pixel region, and a second switching element(22) for switching a photo-sensor element(21) disposed in the photo-detecting region. The first switching element and the second switching element are formed on the same layer. A sensor electrode(57) connected to the photo-sensor element and a switching element(56) connected to the second switching element are formed on the same layer. |
