A method for producing a velour fabric is provided to prevent a selvage portion of the velour fabric from being rolled up, thereby enabling continuous dyeing of the velour fabric, by sewing the selvage portion of the velour fabric through a plurality of rows of backstitches. A fabric is knitted by velour yarns. The knitted fabric is sheared, and then thermally processed. The thermally processed knitted fabric is selvage-processed by performing a plurality of rows of backstitches on a selvage portion of the knitted fabric in a longitudinal direction of the knitted fabric. The selvage-processed knitted fabric is dyed by a continuous dyeing machine. The dyed knitted fabric is dried, and then burnished.
