A capping structure of a printing machine head for detecting a stream of dust is provided to improve convenience of capping by allowing a cap to automatically cover the head in an initial movement of the head. A capping structure of a printing machine head for detecting a stream of dust includes a case(110), a lifting plate(120), a lifting unit(130), and a cap. The case is inserted into a base which is an initialization position of a head unit. The head unit reciprocates along a transfer table. The lifting plate is formed at an opened upper part of the case. The lifting unit is supported to the case to lift the lifting plate up and down. The cap is connected to the lifting plate to cap a head(109) of the head unit when the lifting plate is lifted up. The case has a rib to support the lifting plate when the lifting plate is positioned at a bottom dead point.
