PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To develop a blocking body with repulsive force similar to that of the actual block by eliminating the deficiency of a conventional blocking body with large difference from the actual practice because the rebound when a ball is hit is uneven as compared with the hardness of the palms or arms of actual volleyball players, and especially because the intensity and direction of the rebound vary when the ball is hit at the rounded apex or rounded trough if the surface of the blocking body is hog-backed. SOLUTION: In the blocking body, either a first layer 11 with relatively excellent repulsiveness or a second layer 12 with excellent impact absorbency is used as the surface layer on which a volleyball is hit.
