PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dental diagnostic device, etc. capable of detecting whether an electrical leakage path, deviating from inside a root canal and detouring the apex of a tooth, is included in a conductive path or not. SOLUTION: The dental diagnostic device comprises a measurement electrode 5, an oral cavity electrode 6, a measurement signal applying means, a measuring means and detecting means. The measurement electrode 5 is inserted into the root canal 4 of the tooth 1 which is the object of diagnosis. The oral cavity electrode 6 is electrically contacted with the oral cavity mucous membrane 3. The measurement signal applying means applies measurement signals between the measurement electrode 5 and the oral cavity electrode 6. The measuring means obtains data corresponding to the electric characteristics of at least part of the conductive path between the measurement electrode 5 and the oral cavity electrode 6. The detecting means detects whether the electrical leakage path detouring the apex 2 of the tooth 1 is included in the conductive path or not by applying a prescribed reference for determination to the obtained data.
