<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a control device for an internal combustion engine capable of providing an accurate estimation result by executing a process estimating properties of used fuel under a light load operation condition of the engine. <P>SOLUTION: A clutch of an air conditioning device is disengaged and a mode of an AC generator 43 is changed to a low voltage mode (S14, S15) when the engine is under an idling operation condition, a power steering does not operate and predetermined execution conditions are satisfied.
