PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a socket which enables space-saving and which can shield the periphery of a first connection object without being restricted by a shape of the first connection object. SOLUTION: The socket has a housing 21 which holds contacts 11 having first connections 14 connected to the first connection object 51 and second connections 15 connected to a second connection object 61, and a shell 31 at which a shell housing part 33 for housing the first connection object 51 therein is installed. The locking parts 35a of the shell 31 and the locked parts 25 of the housing 21 are made to be locked to each other, and the first connection object 51 is pressed by a bottom wall part 39 of the shell 31, thereby pressing a connection 55 of the first connection object 51 in toward the first connections 14.
