A device and a method for preventing an incorrect operation caused by RF(Radio Frequency) interference in a display device are provided to prevent the display device from performing the incorrect operation by incorrectly recognizing key input owing to various RF signals occurring around the display device. A first key signal generator(100) generates a first key input signal by connecting a resistor(R10-R14) to each key(KEY11-KEY14) in a series, connecting power voltage(VCC) to one terminal, and connecting the ground to another terminal. A second key signal generator(120) generates a second key input signal by connecting another contact point to another terminal of each key. A microcomputer(110) detects key the input signals generated from the first and second key signal generators. The microcomputer determines normal key input and performs a corresponding function when the first and second key input signals are detected at the same time. The microcomputer receives the key input signals from the first and second key signal generator through an ADC(Analog/Digital Converter) port or a GPIO(General Purpose Input/Output) port.
