PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To construct and manage an IP telephone system which is short in operating time, low in cost and high in security effect. SOLUTION: The IP telephone system 100 includes an IP telephone device 111, a connector 112, a repeater 113, an IP telephone device 121, a connector 122, a repeater 123 and an authentication apparatus 131. On the basis of authentication information containing identification information of the connector 112 preset to the relevant connector 112, the authentication apparatus 131 can authenticate the connector 112 and the IP telephone device 111 connected with the relevant connector 112 as a device permitted to be connected to the IP telephone system 100. Further, on the basis of authentication information containing identification information of the connector 122 preset to the relevant connector 122, the authentication apparatus can authenticate the connector 122 and the IP telephone device 121 connected with the relevant connector 122 as a device permitted to be connected to the IP telephone system 100.
