PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device capable of lessening marks by a spur member on the image surface of paper and also lessening the occurrence of paper jamming, and an image forming apparatus using the same and a fixing method. SOLUTION: The fixing device is equipped with: a fixing roller T comprising a heating roller 172 having a heating element and a pressure roller 173 opposed to the heating roller 172 to form a nip part; a peeling member 1 abutting on the heating roller 172; and the spur member 2 provided on the downstream side of the peeling member 1 and having a spur 2b rotating by coming into contact with transfer material S.
