PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel drive circuit with a configuration of no through hole for an active matrix-type display unit which contains two or more FETs. SOLUTION: A display unit is provided, which includes an electric circuit having such a configuration that a first field effect transistor and a second field effect transistor are provided, the insulating films of the above two transistors are formed in the same layer, a semiconductor, which serves as the channel of either of the above field effect transistors, is provided on each surface of the above insulating film, and the source/drain electrode of the first field effect transistor serves as the gate electrode of the second field effect transistor.
