PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a coaxial electrical connector which can be readily manufactured at low cost and has a center conductor without looseness at supporting, by an insulator and is superior in the high frequency characteristics. SOLUTION: The center conductor 2 is formed by combining a contact member 20 and a connecting member 21, and the contact member 20 is made by machining a metal plate and has an elastic contact part and a first combining part, and the connecting member 21 is made by machining a metal rod member and has a second combining part on connection side with the contact member 20 and an connection part on a free end side. An insulator 3 is provided with an insertion support part 30 in which an insertion hole 31d penetrated for inserting the connecting member 21 of the central conductor 2 is formed and a split support part 31, which extends in the axial direction from the insertion support part 30 and is split up to the boundary position with the insertion support part 30 on a plane, containing the axial line to be capable of opening, as one member. A housing groove 31a, where at least the connecting portion of the first combining part and the second combining part is housed, is formed on the inner face of the split support part 31, and at least a part of the split support part 331 of the insulator 3 is pressed into the external conductor 4.
