PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a structure for climping connection of a precast concrete beam-column joint, which prevent damage to the beam-column joint and bring about energy absorption, by making joint surfaces of upper and lower precast concrete columns cause horizontal shear slip, when a horizontal force acts on the beam-column joint during earthquakes. SOLUTION: The upper and lower precast concrete columns 3 and 4 are butt-joined together via a dowel-type energy-absorbing member. A precast concrete beam 5 is arranged in such a manner that a center line of beam depth almost agrees with the joint surface 2a of the precast concrete column 2. Ends of pieces 7 and 7 of unbonded prestressing steel, which pass through the upper and lower columns 3 and 4 via the joint surface 2a and the beam 5, are prestressed and bound to the beam 5, so that the upper and lower precast concrete columns 3 and 4 and the beam 5 can be jointed by climping connection.
