THE MANUFACTURING METHOD OF THE PLASMA DISPLAY PANEL AND THE MANUFACTURING APPARATUS FOR THE SAME

A method and apparatus for manufacturing a lower substrate for a plasma display panel are provided to increase precision of a shape of barrier ribs by pressing a green sheet against a soft mold. A soft mold with plural concave and convex portions formed on one surface thereof is prepared(S101). The soft mold is disposed on a transfer table, and is mounted on a mold rotating unit(S103). A green sheet for a barrier rib is disposed on the soft mold(S105), and is pressed to transfer a pattern of the soft mold to the green sheet(S107). A lower substrate is disposed on a press table(S109), and the mold rotating unit is driven in a forward direction to move the soft mold to the lower substrate(S111). The soft mold and the lower substrate are vertically aligned(S113), and the green sheet is pressed towards the lower substrate(S115). The mold rotating unit is driven in a reverse direction to detach the soft mold from the green sheet.
