PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the service life of a ball screw by increasing the lifetime of a nut. SOLUTION: A curvature radius Rn of the cosssection of a nut side raceway groove 5a perpendicular to a ball transfer direction is set smaller than a curvature radius Rs of the section of a screw shaft side raceway groove 3a perpendicular to the ball transfer direction so that a contact surface pressure applied to the nut side raceway groove 5a by a ball 9 may be smaller than a contact surface pressure applied to the screw shaft side raceway groove 3a by the ball 9.
