The drive rod has a reciprocating piston internal combustion engine (2) as drive and an electric machine (3). The reciprocating piston internal combustion engine is placed over a coupling (5) and the electrical engine is placed over another coupling (8) with an input shaft (6) of a gear (7) in drive connection. A torsional vibrational damper (9) is arranged between a former coupling and the input shaft of the gear.
