A method for recording data of an optical disk is provided to complete recording work in a selected Ez Rec mode automatically and to increase user convenience by checking an opened state of a tray and finishing the recording operation automatically when the set Ez Rec condition value is satisfied. An Ez Rec selection mode is displayed to finish the data recording when the data recording operation is completed(S210). An opened state of a tray of the optical disk recording apparatus is checked when selecting the Ez Rec mode(S230). An Ez Rec condition value is set when the tray is opened and the recording work is automatically finished when the set Ez Rec condition value is satisfied(S260). The size of a residual area in which the optical disk has a recordable space is displayed in the Ez Rec selection mode.
