Method for determining the temperature on a resistive particle sensor

The method involves measuring electrical resistance of a heating unit of a resistive particle sensor, and determining a model-based temperature. The resistance is correlated with the model-based temperature determined at the time of measurement of the resistance. A smoothing function is calculated by a data point obtained by the correlation result, and a sensor temperature is calculated from values obtained from the smoothing function.
