The military vehicle has a vehicle sump (W), supported by a chassis (F), which has a sump base (B). A shear protection element is arranged between a component and the sump base. The shear protection element is connected with the component by a welded connection (S) on one side, spaced from the sump base and other side is connected with the sump base by another connections. The later connections have a gap of 20 millimeters from the welded connection. Devices for shock absorbing or shock decoupling, are provided between the shear protection element and the sump base.
