PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a pre-charge resistor from being heated at an abnormal temperature even if an ignition switch is repeatedly turned on. SOLUTION: This power supply device for a vehicle comprises: a traveling battery 1; a contactor 2 that switches power feeding to a load 10 from the traveling battery 1; a pre-charge circuit 3 that is connected to the contactor 2 in parallel, and pre-charges a capacitor 13 connected to the load 10 in parallel; and a control circuit 4 that controls the pre-charge circuit 3 and the contactor 2. The pre-charge circuit 3 comprises the pre-charge resistor 6 that limits a pre-charge current, and a pre-charge switch 7. The control circuit 4 comprises a counter that counts an on-signal of the ignition switch 8, and a first timer that stores a first set time. In the power supply device, the control circuit 4 holds the pre-charge switch 7 in an off-state when the number of counts of the on-signal counted by the counter reaches the set number of counts within the first set time stored in the first timer.
