An outdoor unit of an air conditioner is provided to lower the height of a bell mouth part rather than that of a blower fan to expand a path in a discharge guide cover, thereby reducing the resistance in the air flow towards an outlet without increasing the size of the discharge guide cover and achieving active air blowing towards the outlet. An outdoor unit of an air conditioner includes a main body case formed with an outlet(25) at an upper part, a bell mouth part(40) provided in the outlet, a blower fan(27) mounted in the vicinity of the outlet adjacently to the bell mouth part for blowing air upward, and a discharge guide cover(50) mounted at the upper part of the main body case and formed with an outlet(51) at a side part for guiding the upward discharged air to laterally. The bell mouth part has height in the range of 50-60% of that of the blower fan.
