An apparatus and a method for coating an inner peripheral surface of a pipe are provided to coat the inner peripheral surface of a hollow object such as the pipes equally by moving the pipe or a nozzle forward and backward. An apparatus(1) for coating an inner peripheral surface of a pipe(100) is composed of a nozzle(10) inserted into the pipe and equipped with a tip disposed at the front end and provided with a jetting hole for spraying a coating agent, and a moving unit for moving the nozzle or the pipe forward and backward. A tapered part is formed on the outer peripheral surface of the tip. The jetting hole is formed on the tapered part. The tip is detachably combined with the front end of the nozzle.
