A communication method in a wireless network and a wireless network system are provided to transmit location information of a station to the station even when no presence request is received from the station, thereby simplifying processes when providing a presence service and accordingly quickly providing the presence service. One station(12) transmits a presence parameter, including a location descriptor and location data, through a wireless network even when receiving no request for location data. The other station(14) receives the presence parameter through the wireless network. The location descriptor of the presence parameter includes presence capability information. The location data of the presence parameter includes location information.
