A seal for a light emitting display device, and a method and an apparatus of sealing a light emitting display device are provided to provide an improved processing speed, long lasting hermetic seal, and inertness of a frit seal in addition to a mechanical strength of a polymeric adhesive seal. An OLED(Organic Light Emitting Diode) display(10) includes a substrate(20), a sealed frit(30), at least one portion of polymeric adhesive(40), and at least one portion of unsealed frit(50). An OLED is generally positioned within a hermetic seal formed by a frit loop. The substrate includes a first substrate and a second substrate. At least one portion of the first substrate is overlapped with at least one portion of the second substrate. The frit includes a glass part. The glass part includes a base component and at least one absorbing component. The base component includes SiO2 of 5 to 75 mole%, B2O3 of 10 to 40 mole%, and Al2O3 of 0 to 20 mole%. The at least one absorbing component includes CuO of more than 0 mole% and 25 mole% or less or Fe2O3 of more than 0 mole% and 7 mole% or less, V2O5 of more than 0 mole% and 10 mole% or less, and TiO2 of more than 0 mole% and 5 mole% or less. |
