PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select a desired program among many programs recorded in a recording medium in a short period of time and with a simple operation. SOLUTION: This broadcast receiving, recording and reproducing apparatus receives broadcast, and records and reproduces a program. The broadcast receiving, recording and reproducing apparatus first extracts a video-recorded program having second program information including the entire or partial predetermined character string included in first program information belonging to a program currently displayed on the screen of a display constituting a display part 7 among video-recorded programs recorded in a program recording part 9.
